Agriculture & Environment Extension – College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) Marketing and Communications
Job Description
The ideal candidate will coordinate and promote Extension expertise and activities across the college and the state to both internal and external audiences, while working in coordination with both CAFNR Marketing and Communications, and Extension Integrated Marketing and Communications.
Primary responsibilities include crafting content for the web, social media, newsletters and the media; staying abreast of and sharing Extension resources for agriculture trends, and other related news; and monitoring Extension media mentions via news tracking software. Basic photo/video capturing and editing skills preferred. On-site visits to locations around the state of Missouri are required.
This position reports to the director of the CAFNR Office of Marketing and Communications in support of activities of the office of the Associate Dean for Extension.
Salary
$17.96 – $25.57
Commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing or a related discipline with a strong emphasis in written communication, and two years of related experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborative and self-motivated.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling stories for a variety of audiences.
- Comfortable communicating through photography or other media as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and competent with dSLR cameras.
