INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts on Amphibious ship Combat Systems for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department, Amphibious Combat Systems.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Combat Systems Capabilities and Limitations (CAPS and LIMS) Program Analyst provides test engineering and programmatic support to Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department, RAM In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Branch on the CVN/L-Class contract. The ideal candidate has extensive technical knowledge in Aircraft Carrier and/or Amphibious Ship Combat Systems Engineering. This role is located in Pt. Hueneme, CA.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute various combat system testing, engineering, and programmatic activities.
- Prepare formal test reports, briefs, and other documents to brief senior stakeholders on project status.
- Develop tests in coordination with Ship’s Force, Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) personnel, and contractors for the purpose of assessing combat readiness of Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious Ships, ship’s systems, and Ship’s Force.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related technical field. Five (5) additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- At least five (5) years of experience in systems engineering or combat systems integration experience is required.
- Expert knowledge of Aircraft Carrier and Amphibious Ship Integrated Combat Systems suite (specifically SSDS).
- Experience supporting test activities of the following combat systems: Phalanx Close-in Weapon System (CIWS), Rolling Air-Frame Missile (RAM), and/or NATO SEASPARROW.
- An understanding of the working inter-relationships between the ISEA, TYCOM, Program Offices, Ship’s Platform Manager, and Ship’s Force.
- Strong working knowledge of installation activities, Combat Systems Engineering functions, and the organizational responsibilities of activities associated with the Life Cycle Maintenance & Modernization of Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious Ships.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Travel Required: ~10% travel required.
Desired Skill Requirements:
- Prior USN experience as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO) or a Combat Systems Officer of the Watch (CSOOW) is desired.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $75,000 – $100,000. The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
