ICS – Enterprise Transformation – Capacity Management- Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate in Capacity Management, you will be responsible for managing the capacity planning process, identifying opportunities for capacity optimization, and presenting capacity reports to leadership. You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that the firm has the resources it needs to meet expected demand and minimize waste. To excel in this role, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the capacity planning process, including forecasting future resource demands based on portfolio roadmaps, high-level business requirements, and other factors.
  • Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that the firm has the resources it needs to meet expected demand and identify areas where additional resources may be required.
  • Develop and implement opportunities for capacity optimization, such as identifying allocation gaps/bottlenecks, implementing automation, consolidating systems, or other means.
  • Present capacity reports to leadership, communicating information about resource utilization, capacity planning, and optimization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain capacity management policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the capacity management program, including identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct training and education sessions to increase awareness of capacity management concepts and best practices among stakeholders and project teams.
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts by providing input on resource requirements and capacity planning.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies related to capacity management and make recommendations for implementation or integration into the firm’s existing infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 to 6 years of IT capacity management or related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function, servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, IT, engineering, or project management)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior relevant consulting experience preferred
  • Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Denver, CO office only is between $82,100 and $136,900 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, and New York City(Manhattan) offices only is between $88,700 and $147,900 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $94,400 and $157,400 per year.
