Capital Planning Analytics, Vice President

Team Profile:

The Capital Team manages the Firm’s long-term capital resources on a global basis. The Team develops policies regarding equity capital requirements, capital structure, dividends and stock repurchases; promotes the optimal use of Firm capital while ensuring compliance with regulatory and Firm capital requirements; provides strategic analysis and guidance around issues and transactions with capital implications; and co-ordinates capital stress testing for the Firm and its U.S. bank subsidiaries.

You will:

> Perform strategic capital and financial analysis to support Senior Management decision-making

> Lead cross-functional working groups to conduct capital impact analysis related to new/ proposed regulatory rules, new initiatives, and new product

> Manage CCAR and Quarterly Stress Test production, including the FR Y-14A forms, as well as related regulatory rule interpretation and documentation

> Create and review documentation for the Firm’s capital plan submissions and capital adequacy assessment

> Oversee execution of CFO Attestation process for FR Y-14A control framework

> Add value and be productive in our high energy setting

Qualifications:

You have:

> Proficient in Microsoft Excel, high degree of technical proficiency (e.g., MS Office) and ability to learn quickly

> Strong analytic, writing and presentation skills, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity

> Excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skill

> Ability to manage and develop a high-performing team

> Adept at working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

> Proven track record of great teamwork and ability to work across organizational boundarie

> Ability to work on multiple projects under a compressed timeline

> Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work

> Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

> Minimum 7 years of professional experience in financial services or management consulting

> MBA, CPA and/or CFA is a plus but not required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
