Summary
The Career and Workforce Education Specialist will provide support services to the Career and Workforce Education (CWE) center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist CWE Coordinator with daily operations and help provide coverage in other departments as needed.
- Provide assistance to students in all CWE programs.
- Maintain/input potential student inquiry forms and CWE job placements for all programs without a director.
- Maintain contact with area agencies to determine needs for students/develop student resources (CareerSource, employment agencies, etc.)
- Assist in recruitment of students for CWE Programs by attending recruitment events.
- Assist with maintenance, update and distribution of program brochures.
- Assist with special projects as needed in CWE Department, which may include pinning ceremonies, graduation, orientations, etc.
- Assist with and/or lead various student orientations.
- Conduct fingerprinting of employees, students, and contractors as needed.
- Participate in college committees/activities as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or two years related experience; like experience can be substituted for training/education.
