JOB GOAL

Under limited leadership, performs a variety of supportive tasks to provide coordination of curricular and instructional programs across all organizational levels for Career and Technical Instruction. Employee is responsible for supporting and coordinating the efforts of CTE Supervisor of Instruction, Secondary Supervisor of Instruction, Middle School Supervisor of Instruction, principals and teachers. The employee is also responsible for planning and implementing professional development related to curriculum, instruction, and student achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Holds a valid Tennessee teacher’s license with administrative endorsement; Has a minimum of a master’s degree; Has administrative or supervisory experience; and Meets health and physical requirements.

SCHEDULE 260 Day

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinates the process of creating and revising instructional guides that are inclusive of pacing, scope, sequence, instructional strategies, assessment, and aligning resources and linkage to TN state standards;
  • Initiates and integrates curricular and instructional programs designed to improve instruction and student achievement, providing curricular and instructional support for teachers and administrators;
  • Works collaboratively with school counselors to coordinate Dual Enrollment & Dual Credit Initiatives for Secondary Students
  • Responsible for tracking and creating EPSO opportunities for students
  • Works collaboratively with Industry Council to create & monitor meaningful Work Based Learning opportunities for students.
  • Serves as member of district-wide planning teams, which includes but is not limited to, Discipline Committee, Professional Development Committee, Collaborative Conferencing, Textbook Committee, and Calendar Committee;
  • Reviews, recommends, procures, and creates classroom materials and resources for classroom use;
  • Creates, procures, develops, and delivers professional development opportunities that align with the district and/or school mission and goals;
  • Assists in developing county-wide strategic plans for improving student achievement as well as assisting principals with school-wide strategic plans;
  • Participates in relevant professional development organizations and professional development opportunities;
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory, respectful working relationships within the school environment;
  • Conducts observations in alignment with the TEAM evaluation system, as assigned;
  • Maintains open communication with all levels of the school system hierarchy and serves as a liaison between schools and the various departments within the Administrative and Training Complex (ATC); and
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: pushing and/or pulling, stooping and/or kneeling, reaching and/or handling, talking, hearing, seeing, and climbing.
