Your Responsibilities in this Role
- Completing Maintenance, Repairs & Improvements – You’ll be completing small to medium projects for home and business customers.
- Making Recommendations and Managing Expectations with Customers – You’ll communicate with customers to help them understand what they need to have done and manage expectations about the scope of work and costs.
- Create Life-Long Customers – Deliver a great experience that wows life-long repeat customers. You will follow the Mr. Handyman Way – a repeatable process that makes it easy to wow the customer every time.

Job Requirements
These are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position.
- Live near our service area, Western and Central Suffolk County
- Have 10+ years’ of paid experience in this field
- Have your own day to day tools
- Be insurable for driving our vehicles
- Able to lift 50 pounds independently
- Able to safely work at heights and work overhead
- Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle
As an experienced Handyman, you have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:
- Finish carpentry
- Framing / Decking
- Kitchen / Bathroom Improvements
- Painting
- Drywall repair / installation / taping
- Light plumbing and electrical
- Flooring installation
- Tile Installation
Benefits & Pay
The pay range for this position is $32 to $40+ per hour and is dependent on your professional experience.
You will be given a clear pathway to earn more each week through commissions and working efficiently. For those who consistently perform well, they will also be eligible for larger, quarterly bonuses too. If you work work hard and follow the system, you will be able to be in complete control of your compensation.
We all know one day you will be ready to retire and we want to help you save for when that time comes. Retirement plans are offered after an initial probationary period.
