Description
This position manages and supervises the cashiering functions during the processing of sales and entry tickets to customers during special events. Supervises cashiers. Reports directly to the Director of Parks & Recreation.
Examples of Duties
- Manage the processing of sales using cash registers, scanners, or equipment
- Manage and review cash drawers and amounts
- Perform and ensure cash safety using internal control
- Perform and ensure cash collection policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure all revenues are accounted for accurately
- Manage daily deposits and cash reports
- Coordinate with Treasurer’s office & Sheriff’s office for deposits and safety of cash
- Pick up and drop off cash day of events at Treasurer’s vault with police escort
- Oversee and schedule daily staffing and work requirements
- Accept cash and bankcards for payment
- Audit petty cash
- Ensure sufficient change is available
- Observes all approved safety and health policies and procedures pertaining to an employee’s work activities and performs all work tasks in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with County policy.
- Performs other assigned duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Requires the use of fingers, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree or equivalent; and two (2) years of related work experience
