Description
The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing both cash and credit payments from customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions, providing them with accurate information
- Operating cash registers, lift gates, ticket machine and other electronics.
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
- Accepting payments, ensuring all tickets are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with both customers and employees
- Provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner
- Welcome and acknowledge all customers according to company standards; anticipate and address customers’ needs and thank customers with a genuine appreciation.
- Control traffic to ensure a smooth flow at all times, while ensuring pedestrians are safe
- Maintain security of vehicles
- Verify the necessary supplies at the start of each shift
- Maintain a neat and orderly cashier booth at all times that is free of debris and trash
- Complete the necessary end of shift documentation.
- Monitor and maintain safety, security and cleanliness of parking areas
- Arrive in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts
- Must work with or without supervision
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
- May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Customer Service experience preferred
- Cash Handling experience preferred
- Take an Integrity Survey
- Willing to take a Fitness for Duties Test (Medical/Drug Screen)
- Willingness to undergo a Background Check
- Standing/Walking for long periods of time.
- Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Bending/Squatting frequently.
