Description
POSITION TITLE: Multimedia Production Specialist
HIRING UNIT: University of Hawaii – West Oahu
LOCATION: Kapolei, HI
POSITION TYPE: Casual Hire
HOURLY RATE: $23.67 per hour, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

OTHER CONDITIONS: Position is expected to start on or after October 20, 2023 and not to exceed January 19, 2024.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Consult, advise and assist on production needs for digital media, podcasts, VR/AR experiences, games, and other formats
  2. Provide training on audio, video, and interactive production equipment and software
  3. Assist students and faculty with studio production projects as needed
  4. Edit video, audio, graphics, and other media for student and faculty productions and media projects
  5. Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain studio equipment/software
  6. Ensure projects meet professional and creative standards
  7. Coordinate building event requests with campus community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Creative Media, Media Production, or related field preferred
  2. 2+ years experience producing digital content
  3. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Unity, Web Development software, and Microsoft Office
  4. Familiarity with AR/VR/Mixed reality and hardware components
  5. Strong communication, collaboration, and time management abilities
