Overview
Under general supervision, the Catering Sales Coordinator provides administrative support to the Catering Sales, Banquet and Culinary teams
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $18.00.

Responsibilities
- Banquet Event Order (BEO) Management and Distribution
- Manage BEO Distribution to relevant departments.
- Monitor and update BEOs as changes occur, communicating any changes to all necessary parties in a timely manner.
- Ensure all details on BEOs, such as date, time, location, layouts, and special requests are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain Sales BEO Binder.
- Buffet & Box Lunch Labeling
- Manage the labeling process for buffet and box lunches, ensuring labels are accurate, legible and appealing to the eye.
- Ensure all menu items are appropriate labeled, with clear indications for vegetarians, vegan, gluten fee, nut fee and any other special dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Work with the kitchen staff to ensure label accuracy in terms of contents of each dish or box lunch.
- Regularly review and update labeling procedures and materials to maintain compliance with food safety regulations and customer satisfaction.
- Update Event Revenues in computerized event booking and management system on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate client “appreciation’ gift program.
- Attend weekly BEO & Operational meetings.
- Provide administrative support to Banquet & Culinary departments.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in an administrative support position, preferably in a sales capacity at a hotel, convention center or related meeting space.
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize work and effectively resolve workload issues.
- Learn and understand the operation of a convention center and apply that knowledge to continually improve
- Strong computer skills.
- Make basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) either manually or by operating a calculator.
