Job Summary:
Allstate is seeking an outstanding Senior Data Scientist to develop models that uncover key marketing insights and deliver exceptional value.As the marketing landscape continues to evolve, we need to build and develop the right solutions to improve marketing spend and effectiveness, and enhance our customer acquisition sophistication across the organization.As a senior data scientist on the Marketing Analytics & Data Science team, you will have the opportunity to influence the long-term evolution of our marketing capabilities by building and evolving innovative models and analyses.Your work will help Allstate deliver simple, affordable, and connected protection that will help customers achieve their hopes and dreams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the analytical needs of the Allstate marketing team inclusive of statistical inference, A/B testing, and predictive modeling
- Improve marketing spend and effectiveness
- Enhance customer acquisition sophistication
- Analysis of complex datasets to make decisions, find patterns, and drive data insights for scaling Allstate’s marketing initiatives
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of analytic deliverables
- Develop and present insights and recommendations to senior management audiences
- Collaborate with marketing data engineers to implement predictive models

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience -OR- Master’s Degree and 2+ years of experience
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or related field
- 4+ years of experience with SQL
- 4+ years of experience with data science languages (e.g. Python, R, Julia, etc.)
- Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- Track record of executing complex projects independently
- Experience with experimental design
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketing attribution or marketing incrementality testing
- Track record of leading a cross functional team to execute complex projects with several dependencies
- Knowledge and practical experience implementing into production several of the following:
- Machine learning models (XGBoost, GBM, LASSO, neural networks, etc)
- Time series modeling
- Bayesian modeling (MCMC, Gibbs sampling, Metropolis-Hastings, etc)
- Reinforcement learning
- Recommendation systems
- Multi-arm bandits
- Optimization
- Experimental design
- A/B/n testing
- Causal inference
- Quasi-experimental analysis
- Data engineering concepts

Compensation offered for this role is$102,300.00-$140,025.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
