Summary
This position is responsible for providing program support to meet the needs of the College and Career Readiness Department. The incumbent will be required to work with students, CCR coordinators, instructors, and test examiners.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage the in-take process for all HSE applicants for two campuses from initial contact to final scheduling of pre-tests via phone, text, or email.
- Develop/maintain the monthly pre- and post- testing schedule for both campuses with the objective to maximize the number of students testing in a single session.
- Coordinate and facilitate orientation briefings multiple times throughout the year. Maintain orientation briefing materials ensuring they are updated with program changes.
- Assist with graduation duties including the planning of and participation in.
- Assist with student recruiting and outreach as needed.
- Assists coordinators with developing and implementing retention strategies.
- Administer tests to students on various platforms including GED, TABE and CASAS (as needed basis).
- Attend CCR Department and Continuing Education meetings.
- Complete additional assignments as directed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend a minimum of 12 hours of staff development per year as directed by Director of CCR.
- Proficient with database, spreadsheet, word processing programs, and Google Translate.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of the CCR program as incumbent is frequently the first CCR employee to engage with new applicants to the program.
Qualifications
Associates Degree in any administrative area or closely related. At least a year experience as a workstudy student or other administrative experience (paid or volunteer). Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
