The CDnA – Patient Support Analytics Manager will lead insights generation activities by integrating various secondary data sources and engaging several Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) colleagues to develop a comprehensive understanding of brand performance through specialty pharmacy and patient support services analytics. This position will support Tavneos within Amgen’s inflammation portfolio business unit. This is an onsite position, based out of the Thousand Oaks CA office. Remote is not an option for this position.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Design approach and perform secondary data analytics to support strategic decision-making
- Lead analytical execution by implementing solutions, ensuring progress per timelines and scope, and coordinating readout of results
- Work cross-functionally to synthesize findings, develop recommendations and articulate actionable insights to stakeholders
- Provide senior leadership and brand teams with an objective and rigorous perspective on secondary data analytics and performance management
- Develop and deliver analysis using complex data sources including speciality pharmacy and patient support services/hub data, claims data, electronic medical records data, etc. to generate a holistic, objective, and detailed understanding of the brand
- Manage relationship with external vendors to prioritize business needs and enable effective execution of analytics
- Enhance the capabilities of the commercial data and analytics team by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, internal and external best practices, new data sources, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
or
Master’s degree and 3 years of analytics experience
or
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of analytics experience
or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of analytics experience
or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of analytic methodologies, as well as marketing analytics in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with analyzing specialty pharmacy, payor and patient support services/hub data
- Experience with advanced spreadsheets, modeling software, reporting software, and database design
- Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment across different functional groups
- Demonstrated analytical skills-understands the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches and their findings
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts and controversial findings clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management
- Skill in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry datasets and databases

The annual salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $109,752 – $145,461.
