Center Coordinator (Part- Time)(Missouri Valley)
Job Description
The Center Coordinator serves as point of contact for students and community members at the Larry and Bunny Buss Regional Center in Missouri Valley. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations, facility management, student support and community involvement. This position helps create an overall safe and positive learning environment for students. The Center Coordinator must have the ability and willingness to work independently and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Duties include assisting students with advising and academic support, as well as referring them to appropriate services both within and outside of the college. The Center Coordinator will research, plan, and promote Continuing Education programs and will serve as a liaison between Iowa Western Community College and the local community by communicating workforce needs.

Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or 5 years of work experience.
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record.

Physical Demands
Include occasional lifting to 20 pounds, the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, ability to work with diverse populations, and work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, and working with minimal supervision, a high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills, and high degree of inter-personal skills.
