Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities for the Center on the Global Legal Profession at the Maurer School of Law.
- Administers the school’s Stewart Fellows program for overseas summer externs.
- Coordinates the professional development series for the school’s graduate students and plans workshops and schedules speakers.
- Assists the Director of the Center with the logistics of the international Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies annual symposium.
- Coordinates visits to the center from scholars, speakers, and other guest including planning travel logistics and reimbursements.
- Works with faculty to compile information about publications, lectures, research, and other activities for the center’s newsletter.
- Maintains center’s website.
- Researches, writes, prepares, and submits grant proposals. Ensures compliance with all grant agreements and mandates.
- Oversees the center’s budget.
- Plans travel for center faculty.
- Conducts research as needed.
- Supports center projects as needed.
General Responsibilities
- Provides experienced assistance with project management activities, resource allocation, and communication.
- Develops a schedule designed to meet necessary deadlines and communicates with team members.
- Monitors project progress and handles highly complex issues that arise.
- Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Allocates tasks and assignments to lower-level appointed staff and monitors their performance.
- Performs a variety of administrative skills and prepares correspondence related to the project.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Starting salary is $40,019.20 annually or $19.24 per hour.
