Ceramic Lab Operator

Description
The Ceramic Lab Operator manufactures high quality ceramic resonators and substrates.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets up and runs automated Dorst press.
- Operate a variety of machines such grinding machines and high temperature furnaces.
- Work in accordance with work instructions, safety procedures, and quality procedures.
- Detailed inspection of parts.
- Perform a variety of jobs throughout the ceramic lab and grinding room.
- Follow and support all safety practices by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and complying with safety signs and placards, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices and conditions to your local or PD EHS teams, and reporting all safety incidents (including near misses) as they occur.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Knowledge of ceramic characteristics.
- Math aptitude
- Mechanically inclined
- Detail oriented
- Machine operation – Dort Press; BTU Kiln; XY Frequency Tester.
- Drying and Firing ceramics.
- RF testing.
- Some knowledge of al manufacturing and test equipment in the ceramic and grinding rooms.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting hourly pay for this role is targeted to be between $17.50 to $17.50.
