About The Candidate / Role
Tradewind Aviation is looking for a full time Charter Sales Supervisor to be based in Oxford, CT.
The Charter Sales Supervisor holds the pivotal role of leading and supervising the charter sales team. Their primary objective is to inspire the team to unleash their creativity, achieve efficiency, and deliver prompt service, ultimately driving sales growth and enhancing customer satisfaction. In pursuit of these goals, the supervisor assumes the responsibility of providing strong and positive leadership, offering valuable guidance, and conducting ongoing training sessions aligned with our company’s objectives.

The Supervisor consistently pursues a standard of excellence in customer service, aiming to deliver a premier experience with each client interaction. The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge, sales expertise and be client focused with the ability to solve problems as they arise. This candidate will be a strong leader that is flexible and adaptable with ethical conduct that possesses the skill to build a strong team. Excellent communication skills are crucial in this role. Must be flexible with work schedule and able to work weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a sales and pricing expert, providing extensive knowledge and guidance to the team.
- Ensure efficient completion of all sales processes.
- Facilitate effective communication of important information across shifts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail clients, brokers, agents and special Tradewind accounts.
- Collaborate with the scheduling and departments to identify sales opportunities within the schedule.
- Provide support during high-volume periods by handling calls and case load.
- Take ownership of service disruptions, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
- Analyze trends based on customer issues and make recommendations for improving customer service.
- Monitor and share sales targets and key performance indicators with the team.
- Continuously improve workflow processes and document procedures for increased efficiency.
- Evaluate performance, recognize achievements, and address complaints to resolve problems.
- Assist in employee recruitment and termination processes.
- Deliver on-the-job training to charter sales personnel.
- Develop and mentor team members to surpass expectations.
- Validate payroll and manage time off requests, ensuring proper staffing during vacations and sick days.
- Share on-call supervisor responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or relevant field.
- Travel industry or high-level hospitality experience.
- Supervisory experience of a team.
- Sales experience.
- Part 135 charter sales industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficient.
- Ability to handle customer issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Well-organized.
- Self-motivated.
- Outgoing.
- Physical requirements (lift 50lbs etc.)
- Specific technical expertise

Salary Description
$75,000 – 100,000 per year
