Position Summary:
A Yard Jockey is responsible for efficiently and accurately selecting and staging trailers for loading and transport while ensuring proper temperature control with proper understanding and operation of refrigeration equipment and other duties as assigned. May be required to drive commercial vehicles on public roadways.
Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Maneuver and back trailers into loading docks, opens bay doors, prepare trailer, and assist in loading/unloading product.
- Maneuver trailers into yard parking slips to ensure there is no traffic back up in the yard or over public roadways as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols including performing safety checks to secure trailer and operating all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Use other warehouse equipment to help move or load products into trailers.
- Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 170 lbs. when handling keg products.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
– Sun-Thurs starting at 5pm until the work is complete
