Chief Building Maintenance Engineer

American National is currently seeking a Chief Building Maintenance Engineer with specialized trade skills, strong background in facilities management, and leadership. The opportunity is ideal for an individual who enjoys variety in their work, the ability to move without being confined to a desk, and empowerment to make decisions that will enhance the facilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Serves as responsible party for preventative maintenance program.
  • Assists in budgeting of maintenance and new equipment.
  • Maintains detailed inspections of equipment, licenses, etc. and keeps records for property audits.
  • Oversees construction projects including scope, pricing, implementation and finishing.
  • Serves as primary contact for fire/flood and major emergencies. Oversees storm preparation process.
  • Manages utilization of power and other utilities to achieve cost-effective operations.
  • Serves as primary and responsible party for after-hours response; backup for callouts by other on-call staff.

Qualifications Required on Day One:

  • Professional level building maintenance experience.
  • Systems Maintenance Technician designation (SMT) or equivalent.
  • System Maintenance Administrator (SMA) designation.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1st Grade Engineer License.

Salary for this position can range from $73,222.50 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $91,533.00 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
