Description
Position Summary:
Assists in the provision of child care services for children up to the age of 12.
Essential Job Functions:
- Facilitates play activities according to the individualized development/education.
- Document observations as required by the Director of Child Care.
- Report observations and impressions to the Child Care Director.
- Insures the facility is maintained according to DCF regulations at all times.
- Transportation of children as necessary.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Certifications/Licensures:
- Forty five (45) hours DCF certification in Introductory Child Care Training and a CDA certification
- HIV/AIDS Basic Education
- 20 hours of continuing education required annually.
- Valid CPR/FA Certification
Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Enrolled in College Courses to obtain a two (2) year Degree in Child Care is preferred.
Experience and Competencies:
- Minimum of one year experience working with infants and toddlers
- Bilingual is preferred;
- Must have familiarity with Miami-Dade and Broward County
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- Ability utilize Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Ability utilize internal electronic health record software
- Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required.
