You could play a key role supporting the Resource & Referral Division!
Hiring range: $22.00 per hour.
- Provide child care plan, education, and technical assistance to child care providers, parents and the community. (50%)
- Work collaboratively as a team member within the Resource and Referral Division area and assist with provider updates and data entry as required. (15%)
- Process and assist with Trustline applications (San Bernardino County). (15%)
- Provide assistance in educating the community about child development, quality child care, and other child care issues. (5%)
- Provide assistance as needed during outreach events, trainings and workshops for parents, providers, and CCRC staff. (5%)
- Build connections with and maintain resources within the community. (5%)
- Maintain and ensure data integrity and accuracy for required databases. (5%)
Minimum Required –
- Education:
- High School diploma, General Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent.
- Experience:
- One year of relevant experience working with families and/or in child development
- General knowledge and understanding of Child Development and Developmentally Appropriate Practices and community resources
- Experience implementing family engagement programs with a strength-based approach
- Familiarity with child care provider population
- Professional/Technical Certifications:
- Hold or ability to obtain or qualify for CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of their date of hire
- Travel:
- This position will require 15% of travel. Travel will consist of attending local meetings and trainings. Occasional overnight travel to attend trainings and conferences in California may occur. May use CCRC company vehicles, when available or personal vehicle and will be subject to Driver Management Policy requirements (i.e., valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance and a clean driving record required).
- Work Schedule:
- Full time position, 40 hours per week. This position will require the ability to work a non-traditional work schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Work Environment:
- This position’s work environment will consist of field-base work.
- Background & Health Clearance Requirements:
- Criminal Records (e.g. Live Scan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index Check, Sexual Offender Registry, Health and Tuberculosis (TB) test clearances required.
Preferred
All minimum requirements above met, plus:
- Education:Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent college semester units in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field such as Human Development or equivalent experience or any combination of education and experience which would enable the candidate to successful perform the functions of the position, preferred.
- Experience:
- Two years of relevant experience working with families and/or in child development.
- Working knowledge of the Strengthening Families Framework Protective Factors and experience implementing family engagement programs with a strength-based approach strongly desired.
- Professional/Technical Certifications:
- CCTC Teacher Level Permit.
- Technical Requirements:
- Intermediate experience in Windows based programs and data entry experience.
- Bilingual:
- Ability to converse, write and/or translate in English and Spanish
