General Statement of Duties
The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking to hire a highly energetic and motivated professional with great organizational and communication skills for its Child Support Services Program. This person will interact with custodial and non-custodial parents and other caretakers to establish and/or enforce Child Support payment agreements for the care of minor children. The position also involves frequent interaction with legal and judicial professionals, employers, county and state employees, as well as the general public.
Distinguishing Features
This position requires the daily use of the Automated Collection and Tracking System (ACTS), which is an online case management system. Proficient typing and data entry skills are a must.

Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED and three years of experience in eligibility, investigative, judicial, legal work or other relevant experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for minimum qualification requirements.
Outstanding organizational and computer skills preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred.
Valid driver’s license is required to travel to and from the courthouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to enforcing civil orders, employment wage withholdings, interception of state and federal income taxes, and other legal enforcement remedies. This position also involves giving testimony in court and verifying all information needed.
