Responsibilities
About the role:
As the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Solution Architect, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and architecture for the next generation CIAM solution.
- Partner with the different lines of businesses to understand their objectives and define a secure, scalable, flexible and future-proof technical solution
- Lead the strategy and implementation of the next generation Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution enabling SSO, identity federation, and access control roles.
- Produce conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business, and technology objectives through documentation of strategy, systems, architectures, and process flows
- Develop the high-level implementation and delivery roadmaps
- Support vendor selection activities including recommendations of when to make the appropriate build vs. buy decisions
- Own end-to-end responsibility for the solution architecture and its successful implementation
- Establish direction and provide technical guidance to software engineering team members
- Collaborate and socialize CIAM strategy with senior leadership and executives
- Maintain expertise and currency in leading CIAM industry trends and technologies
Qualifications

- You apply your deep IT architecture expertise to envision novel design patterns for the next generation of CIAM solutions
- You have experience in design, develop and deploy enterprise scale CIAM implementations for large organizations with multiple regions, locations, sites.
- You use your expert knowledge on human identities and machine identities life cycle management
- You have IAM deployment experience using Okta, SailPoint or Azure Active Directory preferred
- Identity federation, access control and directory protocols experience: SAML 2.0, SSO, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP
- In-depth knowledge of IAM capabilities in the areas of Directory Services, Identity, Governance and Administration, Federated SSO, Federation, Privileged Access Management, Application Secrets Management and Certificate Lifecycle Management
- Familiarity with Angular JS, React, JavaScript, Node.js, ASP .Net Core, C#, Web API, REST API and related technologies
- Deep IT architecture expertise to develop effective architecture solutions that not only satisfies immediate project requirements but also deliver a coherent, reusable, reliable, and phased architecture
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in IT industry
- 7+ years of experience as a Solution Architect with a proven track record of implementing innovative solutions and delivering business value
- At least 3 years of architecting customer identity and access management solutions
Salary Range: $112,200 to $213,100
At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience and education.
This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to partiicpipate in health benefits on day one of employment
