The Circulation Services Specialist II manages circulation services including the hiring, training and supervision of student staff and all associated procedure documentation. They manage library course reserves, inter-library loan services, displays and exhibits, and oversee physical collection arrangement.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $22.00 – $28.61 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manages circulation services and all library front desk activities
- Hires, trains, and supervises student staff
- Creates and maintains circulation services procedure documentation
- Purchases office and printer supplies and serves as primary contact for printer service calls
- Manages library course reserves and interlibrary loan services
- Oversees orderly arrangement of physical collections including leading special collection projects
- Designs library displays and exhibits
- Serves as library representative on designated campus and Vermont-based committees and working groups

Requirements
- Supervisory skills
- Strong commitment to excellent patron service
- Extensive experience with library technology tools and platforms
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Oversees library operations during evening and weekend shifts when no other staff members are present Dedication to teamwork and collaboration
- BA or equivalent required
- 2 or more years of library experience preferred
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, on-campus position.
Shared participation in evening and weekend hours is required.
The work is mostly sedentary and includes no special physical demands. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, pushing or carrying light items.
