Civil CAD Drafter

Qualifications

  • Understanding of principles and practices of civil engineering, and the approval and permitting process for civil projects.
  • Experience with drafting boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivisions.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers drafting experience is a plus.
  • Ability to follow project schedules and budgets.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $20.00-$35.00.

Your Day to Day:

  • Work in conjunction with engineer on the preliminary design of site, grading, water/wastewater layout, storm sewer layout
  • Assist in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.
  • Performs plan drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Requirements

Education

  • Associates or technical degree in Drafting/Design preferred.

Experience

  • Entry level, no experience required.
