Basic Function and Distinguishing Characteristics
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, prepare plans for construction projects such as bridges and roads; assure accuracy of detailed parcel maps and survey records; inspect on and off-site subdivisions and tract improvements and County bridge construction; inspect construction encroachments into right-of-ways and perform complex mathematical calculations.
Education and Experience/ Licenses and Other Requirements
Any combination equivalent to: two years college-level course work in civil engineering and two years civil engineering, drafting or surveying experience.
Valid California driver’s license.

A valid driver’s license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020.
