In this role, you will lead and empower a team of reinsurance claim professionals dedicated to the Regional client segment. The role strongly interacts with Underwriting, Products, Claim Operations, and Reserving. This position reports to Head Reinsurance P&C Claims, U.S.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Driving our strategies around loss management, trend analysis, and cross-functional engagement
  • Building solid relationships with clients and internal stakeholders and maintaining such with meaningful collaboration
  • Developing talent, fostering high performance and empowering others to excel
  • Accurate analysis and reporting of Key Performance Indicators

About You

Your ability to think and act inclusively, strategically and globally have gained you outstanding leadership skills and prior success in cross-functional collaboration. You bring excellent interpersonal skills to the team and can aptly communicate with high-level management in client companies and here at Swiss Re.

  • Experience handling property and casualty claims, analyzing coverage and contract terms, identifying trends and mitigating loss.
  • Experience in data analysis strongly preferred. Ability to use tools such as Power BI to capture, analyze and interpret data to deliver actionable insight.
  • Full understanding of relevant financial acumen and numeric literacy
  • No-fail ability to meet deliverables, implement plans, and conduct analysis
  • Exceptional presentation and written and verbal communication skills

Approximate travel required: 15-20%

For Armonk, NY the estimated base salary range for this position is $116,000 to $213,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
