Core Responsibilities
- Con Edison, a multi-billion-dollar energy utility, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. We are investing hundreds of millions of dollars annually to drive development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, intelligently integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating electrification technologies across our customers.
- The Program Manager is responsible for managing the Company’s energy efficiency programs and oversees the design, operations, administration, budget, marketing, performance analysis, reporting, process improvement, and customer and stakeholder engagement. The Program Manager is responsible for overall implementation and performance of the Multifamily program to achieve energy savings and demand reduction targets for the Company. The Program Manager may direct the program’s processes, functions, internal program team, and/or contractor(s) responsible for the implementation of the program(s).

- Oversee operational aspects of the Multifamily electric and gas energy efficiency program, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing resources needed to achieve energy savings goals.
- Oversee administrative aspects of these programs including program design, customer enrollments, budget, and timely and accurate incentive payments and reporting.
- Responsible for the overall design, incentive rate structure, planning, marketing, digital production, development, tracking, data analysis, reporting, implementation, and performance of the Multifamily program(s).
- Manage internal and external staff, strategic partnerships, multidisciplinary teams, and a contractor network.
- Lead the development of a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers, participating contractors, technology providers, and build, maintain and create new relationships to maximize benefits to the Company with internal and external stakeholders to maximize benefits to the Company.
- Oversee the growth of the program(s) through such activities as marketing, training, and communications with customers and market partners and the development of innovative program design solutions.
- Speak publicly on behalf of Multifamily programs.
- Support the development of and manage software used to administer and operate the programs and oversee data management and quality control.
- Ensure exceptional customer service.
- Track goal achievement and report results to leadership.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of work experience in leadership/management roles
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master’s Degree and 2 years of work experience in leadership/management roles

- Experience or knowledge in energy efficiency technologies. Preferred
- 5-7 years Experience or knowledge with analyzing market trends in energy efficiency technologies to optimize existing program. Preferred
- Work experience in energy efficiency, demand management, demand response or other competitive, market driven utility programs, including project and process management experience. Preferred
- Experience managing and building relationships with key market actors, partners, and contractors. Preferred
- Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information. Preferred
- Experience working with local, County, City and State governments and human services organizations. Preferred
- Work experience with the multifamily customer segment. Preferred

Physical Demands
- Must sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift
- Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
- Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to use hands for entire shift

Other Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
