Client Project Manager

Arcadis is looking to hire a Construction Project Manager to support Project and Program Management in the North American Places business in our Philadelphia, PA area client site location.

Role description:

As a Project Manager, you will ensure that projects adhere to client requirements and business goals by developing and driving project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities within the established project timelines set forth by the client. You will be responsible for all project phases: planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning & validation.

Role accountabilities:

  • Supports the Project Sponsor in the development of the business case, defining the project scope, benefits, and objectives
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and deliverable completion of the engineering aspects of the project, using agreed resources, by an agreed date to agreed safety standards and an agreed quality within an agreed budget
  • Responsible for co-ordination, scheduling and reporting of activities related to stakeholder management, benefits management, business change management and project communications.
  • Responsible for appointment and ensuring each Project Implementation Team member’s full involvement during the development of the project
  • Has overall financial responsibility for managing the project within the approved funds
  • Managing work to follow state, local, and Federal requirements
  • Ensures that all appropriate technical standards are applied during the project implementation
  • Has responsibility for providing regular, timely, accurate, progress reports, cash flow and cost of completion forecasts
  • Has responsibility for the institution and upkeep of the Project Files, meetings records and correspondence, and maintaining the Project Controls information
  • Ensures that the levels of fiscal authority and controls are understood and complied with by project team members and that timely support is provided when commercial audits are conducted
  • Ensure that owner’s safety, security and fire protection regulations are clearly understood and adhered to, and control the property and premises until hand-over
  • Chairs summary project meetings and ensures all other necessary specialist meetings are held as required
  • Has direct responsibility for completion of the project, including handover to the Project Sponsor and operations.

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Experience of managing capital delivery within a pharmaceutical sector or working within a comparable portfolio of work for a leading manufacturing/scientific client preferred
  • Strong knowledge / record of delivering mechanical, electrical & control works within the building services environment
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment
  • Expert in stakeholder management and communication
  • Be capable of managing multiple, unique assignments simultaneously
  • Proficient IT skills (MS Office)
  • Be health, safety, and quality focused I

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience in Engineering, Project Management or similar discipline
  • Over 10 years of Project management expertise
  • PMP certification
  • Six Sigma

The salary range for this position is $94,760 – $142,140.
