Client-Sponsor Program Senior Specialist

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Client-Sponsor Program Senior Specialist for our downtown Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).

Starting base salary = $67,000 – $82,000 a year (commensurate with related experience).

The Client-Sponsor Program Senior Specialist is a key member of the product and commercial partnerships team, engaging clients and executing and/or project managing client work, as well as special programs and project needs. Work includes communication and coordination with business partners, sponsors and internal product teams, to achieve successful delivery of contracted work; as well as managing tracking and report-out progress to support performance improvement efforts. In addition to client-facing work, this role will also support the overall product lifecycle with through data aggregation and reporting, market research and other areas of development (e.g. product design, ideation, business requirements, QA and testing activities, etc.).

  1. Creates and maintains Account management project documentation including all pertinent client, business partner, sponsor communication, reports and project documentation.
  2. Manages all aspects of account management activities per department SOP; including but not limited to conducting kick-off calls, client resolution activities, ensuring internal stakeholders are aligned, risks are outlined in a timely manner and mitigation activities are taken when appropriate.
  3. Acts as a trusted advisor and forms strong relationships with key customers and ensure they are receiving world-class service and achieving ROI; Understand and anticipate customer’s needs and goals developing deep insight into key clients and their business, sharing input and feedback gathered from clients across internal teams; serve as client advocate with internal teams.
  4. Articulates and formally presents AHA and the Center’s strategic roadmap to our clients, demonstrating alignment with health care trends and their strategic business objectives.
  5. Assists Product & Partnerships team track key strategic and AHA Associate clients overall customer interests, successes and market trends to help develop creative solutions or strategies with the internal departments; works with key clients to ensure they are leveraging resources and achieving success and engaging fee-based resources as warranted.
  6. Monitors overall account health, proactively identifying growth opportunities, successfully identifies barriers to renewal and, at times may have an input on renewal of contracts and pricing. Drives business growth by developing relationships with decision makers with consultative skills. Advise sales team on key account proposals.
  7. Leads clients’ calls, facilitates conversation and presents pertinent materials via power point and other presentation tools; clearly articulating agenda and objectives of the calls.
  8. Responsible for timely client follow up ensuring highest professionalism.
  9. Creates and maintains Product documentation including all pertinent design documents, business requirement documents, process flows, communication and basic product reports etc.
  10. Assists with qualitative data collection (e.g. client/member interview, focus groups) and qualitative data analysis.
  11. Test features through throughout product life cycle and coordinates with quality assurance on features/bugs in the production.
  12. Assists Product & Partnerships team with AHA matrix activities as it relates to consultative account management and product development.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
