Job Description:

Serves as the point person for all operating elements of research protocols. Responsible for scheduling and coordination of participant visits, study-staff meetings, external and internal advisory boards for research projects. Participate on multi-site conference calls. Coordinate call agendas, preparation of meeting materials, and take meeting minutes. Ensures that all aspects of the study are conducted in accordance with the study protocol and contract. When involved with human-based research, the position will ensure the safety of human subjects and implement safety and privacy notification systems in collaboration with the clinical research division. Ensures the compliance to all requirements of the College of Medicine and the University of Florida relative to the conduct of the study; ensures that all technical requirements of the funding agency are met, including auditing.

Advises and assists in planning, implementing and reporting on study related procedures and activities. Assists in development and revisions to protocols, manuals of operations and procedures, data collection forms, progress reports and other documents required for project implementation and evaluation, such as computerized systems for monitoring and reporting the study requirements. Tasks will also include coordinating the activities from the data produced, including dataset/database management using RedCap and establishing data quality control program. The successful candidate will also help build a data ecosystem and making data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) to support open science initiatives.

Assist with monitoring project timelines, deadlines, and progress reports. Interacts with investigators, administrators and other coordinators to oversee coordination of study activities and quality control assessments

Expected Salary:

$46,000 to $56,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong candidates for this position will have excellent writing, communication and organizational skills. They should also have the ability to work well in teams, effectively manage multiple studies and think independently and creatively. Candidates should have experience working in clinical research that require direct contact with participants who have complex health histories. Candidates with knowledge of research methodology relevant to public health, clinical outcomes, and/or quantitative measurement, will receive special consideration.
