About This Role
The Clinical Research Coordinator III will coordinate and conduct numerous research studies within the Division of Neurocritical Care with the opportunity to primarily coordinate a multicenter phase II study over a 4-year period under the supervision of the central Principal Investigator. The incumbent is expected to provide protocol-required care. The incumbent is responsible for managing research studies and implementing good clinical practice guidelines, and responsible for ensuring all regulatory requirements are responded to appropriately under strict target dates. The incumbent will communicate research related information to patients, families, nursing and medical staff as necessary, and foster requisite patient compliance and retention for each assigned study. The incumbent will participate in research on-call coverage for patient enrollment in studies in a flexible, fast paced critical care environment. Expected Salary:
$65,000 – $85,000 commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
PREFERRED DEGREE AREAS: Neurology or ICU background.
ABILITIES
– Read and interpret complex guidelines and pay attention to detail.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively work as a liaison with all individuals contacted during the course of work.
– Proven ability to work independently as well as being a team player at various levels of organizational responsibility for different projects.
– Excellent time management to meet deadlines and attendance. Ability to be flexible with hours of operation to include evening and weekend on-call.
– Experience working with seriously ill subjects in a critical care setting.
– Experience with clinical trials in a health science academic area.
– Pivoting in role as needed.
KNOWLEDGE
– Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding clinical research.
– Knowledge of accepted procedures and ethical, confidential practices.
– Clinical knowledge of critically ill neurological/neurosurgical patient population.
SKILLS
– Laboratory skills required to obtain biological samples (ie. Phlebotomy) and process using laboratory equipment.
– Skill in the use of personal computer software including Microsoft Office, clinical-trials management systems and relational databases (Oncore and REDCap), and electronic medical record systems (EPIC).
– Demonstrate working knowledge of clinical trials administration.
