The Opportunity…
Centerfield is looking for a Cloud Architect with experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a Cloud Architect at Centerfield, you will play a crucial role in the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions that drive business objectives, ensure scalability, and maintain security.
How You’ll Contribute…
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud architecture solutions using GCP services.
- Build Big Query infrastructure, Lytics, and other primary stack tools.
- Design, configure, and maintain GCP infrastructure components, including virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and other related services.
- Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard data, applications, and infrastructure on GCP, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Set up monitoring and logging systems to proactively identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Define and enforce cloud governance policies, including access control, user management, and resource tagging
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of GCP architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with CCPA and other Impactful privacy laws.
- Continuously research and stay on top of the latest GCP offerings, trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions for business growth.
What We’re Looking For…
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience in managing cloud projects, with a focus on deploying solutions in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) required.
- Proficient in designing and setting up GCP infrastructure and configurations, including GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Kubernetes, advanced networking setups, and both single and multi-region deployments.
- Skilled in handling advanced concepts like Anthos and Rancher, along with utilizing various GCP-supported and external open-source Kubernetes management tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, encompassing in-depth product knowledge and understanding of the features offered within GCP, spanning IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS domains.
- Proficiency in Automation and DevOps methodologies is required, along with expertise in utilizing modern cloud tools such as Terraform, Docker, Virtualization technologies, VMware, Citrix, and Hasicorp suite of tools.
- Proficient in Python, Hadoop, ECS Lambda, MySQL, and other cloud analytics platforms.
- Experience in Azure, AWS, and other cloud providers is a must.
- 5+ years in developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Code Deploy and/or Terraform
- Experience with Okta, Active Directory, and connections is a plus.
$170,000 – $190,000 a year
