BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that may include both teleworking and in-person office hours. Employees must be able to report to the office when requested by management and/or for their initial job training.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide information to employers, attorneys or their representatives and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) personnel concerning status of protests, hearing dates, and appeals procedures.
  • Schedules hearings and issues adjudication orders to internal and external customers.
  • Retrieves data to answer inquires regarding Statement of Facts, hearing orders and adjustment questions.
  • Receives incoming mail and closely examines to determine type of adjudication request. Enters new requests into data base and prepares list of inventory.
  • Prepares hearing packets for adjudication members and orders risk files and maintains risk file database.
  • May assist Management Analysts in the Adjudication Unit with general functions.
  • Assists with calendaring litigation deadlines and subpoena response dates and form response letters.

Qualifications
To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:

30 months experience or 30 months training in secretarial/administrative professional field.

-Or completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college AND 12 months experience in secretarial/administrative professional field.

-Or 12 months experience as Administrative Professional 2, 16872.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
