Description
Be part of a dynamic team guided by Janus Youth Programs’ mission to create paths to success for hundreds of children, youth and families in Oregon and Washington! Since originating in 1972 as a Multnomah County demonstration project providing residential care for adolescents struggling with homelessness and drug abuse, Janus Youth Programs has provided a second chance for at-risk youth with few resources and no place to turn to for help. Today, we have grown to become one of the largest nonprofits in the Northwest operating more than 20 programs that change lives and builds futures.
As part of Janus Youth Programs’ Advancement Department, the Communications & Special Projects Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation and management of Janus’ strategic communication efforts in coordination with Janus’ Advancement Director. This role will manage the agency’s website and social media accounts and will also be responsible for writing press releases and designing/developing all print and electronic marketing for the organization. The position also participates in public and private grant solicitations on behalf of all Janus programs and assists with the coordination and execution of special events and activities that raise funds and create community awareness.
Applications for all positions may be forwarded to appropriate similar positions within Janus Youth Programs. Positions may vary by location, pay structure, union, and supervisory staff.
