Our work depends on a communications manager joining our team to support Federal EHR Modernization program activities. This a remoted-based role. Candidate must live in the U.S.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a communications manager supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization program, you will be responsible for developing the overall communications process and plans for the program.
HOW A COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Provides communication support services to maximize IT efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Assists with developing and ensures use of the Strategic Communications Plan.
- Drafts targeted and broadcast strategic and operational communications for a variety of channels.
- Assists with reviewing data to identify opportunities to deliver information that improves services, expands end-user knowledge, and expands self-help capabilities.
- Provide Enterprise level communications.
- Develop and lead the Programs’ communication strategies to promote immediate initiatives and long-term program goals.
- Develop briefing materials for company stakeholders, draft press releases, and critical communications.
- May supervise others.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
- 5 + years of experience in communications management.
- Experience editing material for punctuation, grammar, and content.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with communication process development and Stakeholder communication process management.
- Health IT scheduling experience a plus.
- Knowledge of the Indian Health Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, or DOD military Health System environments desired.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,000 – $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
