Responsibilities
- Oversees develops and executes a comprehensive strategic communications program for the organization, encompassing public affairs, editing, and note-taking support for clients.
- Presents the organization’s narrative effectively to the public through various communication channels.
- Develops and delivers a range of internal and external communications materials, such as brochures, annual reports, quarterly newsletters, crisis management manuals, quick reference cards, media kits, feature stories, press releases, advertisements, posters, and billboards. Provides editing and note-taking support to ensure clear, concise, and accurate messaging.
- Cultivates relationships with news media outlets, including television, radio, newspapers, and wire services, to promote the organization’s goals and achievements. Remains available and prepared to respond to media inquiries during crises or newsworthy events.
- Coordinates on-air radio and television interviews for key organization figures. Provides or arranges photography services to support the organization’s visual storytelling.
- Crafts speeches for executives and leadership teams tailored to specific events or occasions. Writes engaging scripts for special events that resonate with target audiences and effectively convey the organization’s message.
- By offering comprehensive public affairs, editing, and note-taking support, this role ensures that the organization maintains a strong and consistent presence in the public sphere while accurately representing its values and objectives.
- Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or multiple projects.
- Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Requies a TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Requires a BS 12-15, MS 10-13, or a Phd and 10+ years of experience

Target Salary Range
$135,000 – $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
