Communications Program Manager, IT Services

IT Services, the internal Amazon IT support team – is seeking a curious, self-motivated, and creative communications professional who is looking to apply their skills and experience in innovative ways. An ideal candidate will want to be part of a team that does nothing but think about ways to more effectively communicate with colleagues while working to craft communication and enable messaging channels that will drive adoption and usage of Amazon IT products and services. In this role, you will manage IT content to help Amazon employees keep pace with the changing hardware, software, and policy needs of the company. We’re looking for a candidate who can exercise high editorial judgment in communicating across a large global org.

The ideal candidate is passionate about amplifying the employee experience, assisting leaders in navigating large-scale incidents, and raising the bar for the customer experience through meaningful programmatic work. We’re looking for a strong Communications Program Manager own and scale global communications programs that informs our customers, Amazon employees, about Amazon IT products and services. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to create content strategies that best support our colleagues, as well as write, deliver, and measure the effectiveness of your content. The work will be 50% writing and 50% project management.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to help develop solution oriented communication strategies, support process improvement initiatives, and own program management projects.

Key job responsibilities

– Create and optimize content and communication regarding in-office IT experiences.

– Create and drive end-to-end communications strategies across multiple channels to successfully enable Amazon employees to adopt key IT updates, features, and products.

– Own and deliver against a comprehensive content plan for internal communications.

– Consult with stakeholders to define business objectives and deploy a set of actionable and targeted messaging plans.

– Conduct business readiness assessments, evaluate results, and develop plans to ensure messaging is aligned with upcoming technology changes.

– Identify emerging topics and develop proactive plans with stakeholders, including crafting content as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of program or project management experience

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

– Excellent written and verbal communications skills, project management, and organization skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

– 3+ years of leading large complex programs experience

– Internal communications experience, ideally supporting programmatic and product changes globally

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
