CLASSIFICATION: ROPE; C-4-1
MINIMUM SALARY: $26.64 per hour

Job Summary:
- Provide leadership and coordination for Community Education preschool and elementary-level youth programs including those at elementary-level 21st Century Community Learning Centers, and others. This work includes building relationships with children and families, diverse identities, assessing needs among children and their families, understanding financial requirements, planning courses and events, hiring instructors/coaches and other leaders, supervising staff and programs, managing changes, teaching/coaching when needed.
- Work closely with Community Education Program Coordinator – Youth (Secondary) on joint programs, program alignment, marketing, and other department efforts.
- Create classes and instructional materials for preschool/youth enrichment classes
- Coordinate marketing & timelines with community education programs
- Provide outstanding communication and serve as the spokesperson on behalf of these programs and participants, families, and program staff.
- Develop avenues for participants and staff to provide meaningful feedback for program improvement and innovation.
- Represent Community Education youth programs at community events and in collaboration efforts inside and outside the school district, with supervisor approval.
- Actively manage the efficient use of resources and achieve financial goals.
- Address facility use concerns related to Community Education preschool and elementary youth programs.
- Work with staff, parents, and partners to address issues that arise within programs. including participant behaviors and staff concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Development or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working with community education programs.
- Commitment to equity and access for all
- Deep knowledge of high quality, positive youth development approaches
- Proven ability to form trusting relationships with staff, community partners, and participants of all identities and abilities
- Good organizational skills.
- Availability to work collaboratively with diverse district staff, students, and community partners.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with contractors, parents and children including writing and proofing catalog content.
- Creative problem solver.
- Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends, as needed for class times.
