REPORTS TO: Early Childhood Family Services Manager

CLASSIFICATION: ROPE; C-5-1

MINIMUM SALARY: $35.97 per hour

Qualifications:
MN license in early childhood education or parent and family education is required; an administrative licensure a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate (written and verbal) effectively with parents, students, staff and other professionals, of different races, ethnicity and backgrounds.

Job Summary (Supervision and Coordination):
ECFE

  • Design and implement Early Childhood Family Education program with ECFS Manager and staff to meet the needs of the community
  • Ensure program quality and compliance with state and local Early Childhood Family Education requirements
  • Supervise and evaluate program assistants and assist Director Early Learning in evaluating teaching staff
  • Establish and supervise Early Childhood Family Education and Early Childhood Screening recruitment
  • Prepare yearly staffing assignments for ECFE teachers and assistants with ECFS manager
  • Supervise and provide parent and family engagement activities within
  • the program
  • Coordinate with Outreach Parent Educator to ensure continuation of community partnerships that meet the changing needs of our community
  • Monitor classroom environments for safety and appropriate materials and supplies
  • Hire and meet with new staff for program orientation
  • Provide continuing education opportunities for program educational assistants

ECS

  • Organize and Implement the day to day operations of the Early Childhood Screening Program
  • Supervise and support staff in Early Childhood Screening
  • Provide Early Childhood screenings and conference with parents regarding results
  • Monitor the screening environment, equipment, and supplies
  • Provide presentation and attend community events promoting early childhood screening
  • Monitor necessary record-keeping, including state records
  • Communicate with staff about screening procedures
  • Work with program manager to hire, train and schedule screening staff
  • Prepare yearly staffing assignments for Early Childhood Screening
  • Lead quarterly staff meetings
  • Ability to travel between district and community sites as needed

Financial and Data Collection:

  • Supervise, maintain and monitor the Early Childhood Family Education and Early Childhood Screening budget
  • Establish, analyze and maintain financial and class records for Early Childhood Family Education and Early Childhood Screening
  • Maintain program evaluation system and reports to Director of Early Learning
  • Ensure all information needed to complete reports required by the state are complete and submitted in a timely manner
  • Coordinate program evaluation

Marketing and Registration:

  • Provide accurate information and good customer relations through written and verbal communication
  • Collaborate with ECFS office and community partners
  • Work with ECFS office to create marketing materials for Early Childhood Family Education and Early Childhood Screening

Program Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between Rochester ECFS and community partners
  • Communicate program progress and direction
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service and community meetings

  • Work as team with programs manager, office staff and ECFS staff
  • Meet expectations for professional growth goals and hours
