A real estate management company in Saratoga Springs, NY is seeking a Community Manager to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of four multifamily properties, totaling approximately 350 units. You will lead a leasing team, supervise a maintenance team, and ensure that the properties are meeting their budget and occupancy goals. They are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of property management experience and strong supervisory skills, as you will have four direct reports. The company offers a nice benefits package, with lots of time off, which includes closing early the day before a holiday to extend the time off. Pay Range: $50,000 – $80,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the operations of four multifamily properties, with a focus on budget management and occupancy goals
- Supervise and support a maintenance team, ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Lead the leasing team, overseeing prospecting activities and lease renewals
- Maintain operating budgets for both income and expenses, including office and maintenance budgets
- Ensure units are available for leasing as scheduled
- Monitor online reviews and social media presence to maintain a positive online reputation.
- Compile annual budgets
- Review resident ledgers and understand property accounting
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the right people are in the right positions and provide training and support as needed
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or related roles
- Supervisory/management experience is required, as you will be managing a maintenance team and leasing consultants
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but experience is valued
- Willingness to obtain an IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) real estate manager license if not already held
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive and team-oriented attitude
