About The Role
Frontier is looking for a Compensation Manager to join the Corporate Compensation Team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of financial analytical experience, with a Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or financial systems background. Further, the model candidate will have a can-do attitude, with a demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving skills in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
The Compensation Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and administration of the organization’s compensation programs. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that employees are rewarded fairly and competitively for their contributions, while also aligning with the organization’s overall compensation strategy. The Compensation Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including senior management, business leaders, Finance, HR, HRIS, Talent Acquisition and Management, and Payroll, to analyze compensation data, conduct market research, and make recommendations for compensation-related decisions for both broad-based employee issues and executive compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Defining, implementing, and administering compensation incentive programs across the organization; Leading projects for administering incentive programs and training leaders to use bonus and merit systems
  • Analyzing and maintaining competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant compensation programs and practices
  • Leading market analysis of company jobs to determine the competitive positioning of the organization’s pay programs, including base pay and short- and long-term incentive pay
  • Developing and maintaining organizational salary structures
  • Provide guidance and support to HR and management regarding compensation-related matters, including job offers, promotions, and salary adjustments
  • Conducting job evaluations and determining appropriate salary grades and titles for proposed new positions and re-evaluations of current positions; managing job codes tied to salary structure for the non-union employee population
  • Review and analyze compensation trends and best practices to make recommendations for adjustments and improvements
  • Analyzing compensation changes for employees with demotions/promotions/role changes and making compensation recommendations based on market data and internal comparisons
  • Standardizing and simplifying Compensation practices and procedures
  • Conducting and participating in compensation surveys
  • Mentoring and providing training to internal business partners in compensation practices, particularly in Talent Acquisition, HR, and HRIS. Collaborating and fostering teamwork and ensuring compensation data integrity in HR systems
  • Working on varied and moderately complex tasks that require minimal oversight and direction
  • Administering Equity awards including communicating and processing RSU and PSU vesting, and monthly/quarterly reporting
  • Prepare presentations for senior leaders
  • Internal Reporting of financial data and key business metrics
  • Financial modeling and report development for ad-hoc projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Statistics; Master’s degree preferred but not required
  • 5-7 years of financial analytical experience
  • Compensation analytical experience a plus
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies and salary structure design is preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations
  • Exceptional Excel skills; PowerPoint skills are a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate succinctly with upper management and all internal business partners
  • Confident self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Problem solver who works well independently but can also lead team projects and participate in the shaping of the team’s focus and vision
