About the team
Product Compliance serves as a key risk management function that
partners with users and cross-functional teams to bring products to
market safely and responsibly. We are seeking a strategic-minded and
collaborative Compliance professional to work closely with our most
complex users and bank partners to grow and scale their credit card
issuing programs compliantly.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure to oversee charge card products
offered through Stripe’s Issuing APIs - Work directly with Stripe users to ensure their use of Stripe Issuing
is consistent with contractual and regulatory requirements - Serve as a primary compliance contact for Stripe’s users and provide
advice on implementing program requirements - Liaison with internal and external oversight teams to support
examinations and testing engagements - Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, Stripe’s
bank partners, and Stripe’s users - Help the Compliance function meet its core responsibilities
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be

Minimum requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in compliance, risk, audit,
or bank regulatory roles - Experience working with credit card products and related regulations
(e.g., fair lending laws / ECOA, UDAP, TILA, conduct risk, complaints
handling) - Interest in collaborating directly with external users to implement
and oversee elements of their compliance programs such as their
compliance policies, controls, trainings, and issues management - Program management experience with an emphasis on workflow management
solutions - Ability to tackle ambiguous situations and operate efficiently and
independently in a fast-paced, high-volume and technology-driven
environments - Demonstrated success in building long-lasting relationships with
external parties - Strong instinct for when to escalate potential compliance issues
- Respect for and interest in financial rules and regulations, as well
as an eagerness to innovate and drive the financial technology
industry forward
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building or operating compliance programs within financial
technology companies - CRCM or equivalent certification.
- PMP or equivalent certification.

Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $143,400 – $194,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
