Job Description

Purpose of your role

We are looking for a candidate to fill a position in its North American Compliance team to support regulatory licensing. This role is ideally suited to candidates in the early stage of their career in Compliance, however more experienced candidates may also be considered.

The Compliance Associate will work directly with the Regulatory Affairs Manager as part of the broader Compliance team, and be responsible for tasks including state money transmitter reporting, federal or provincial regulatory reporting, coordination of state level payments, surety bond management, preparing and submitting state/federal/provincial registration updates and renewals, assisting with regulatory exam management and coordination related to exams amongst various regional and global business units, and other duties within the scope of the North American Compliance function that support state, provincial, or federal licensing, registration, or regulatory obligations.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare regulatory reporting and submit reports as required to maintain state, provincial or federal licenses required to maintain operation as a money transmitter in the United States and Canada.
  • Maintain applicable North American state, provincial and federal licensing obligations via required submissions, updates, and renewals
  • Support North American regulatory engagements by managing requests for information or documentation across multiple functions and jurisdictions within the OFX group of entities.
  • Work closely with the Regulatory Affairs Manager and the Head of Compliance, North America on process enhancements for reporting and licenses obligations to ensure proper implementation and management of said processes
  • Contribute as a member of a global Compliance function.
  • Ad hoc tasks/projects at Manager’s request.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • 2+years’ experience within audit or the financial services industry, preferably related to International Money Transmitter/Money Service Business entities
  • Moderate to Advanced MS Office skillset with focus on excel functionality
  • Preferred data analytics, basic to moderate understanding of SQL, or data visualization tools (Google Data Studio).
  • Immediately available has advantage
  • The ability to perform multiple tasks and work unsupervised, work remotely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to use a number of Compliance platforms and systems.
  • Have initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Diligence, honesty and reliability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate with peers.

The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 US. Exact salary offered will be dependent on multiple factors including level of experience, job-related knowledge, skills, work location, etc. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a variable bonus and/or commission. As part of the compensation package, benefits are also offered for all full-time roles and part-time roles working a minimum of 24 hours a week.
