The Compliance Data Analytics Manager will lead a team of data analysts to deliver data in support of compliance testing, audits, and exams. Additionally, this team is responsible for the development of automated compliance testing, working with multiple data sources, and the production of various reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand existing data management processes related to operations, monitoring and reporting activities.
- Lead the design, code, and verification phases, with the ability to clearly explain technical requirements.
- Prepare clear documentation of work performed to support compliance activities.
- Maintain skills related to technical issues such as data extraction, data file formats and structures, transporting data, merging files, and data manipulation and management (keys, indexing, normalization, etc.).
- Manage data analytic learning needs of the data team. Conduct learning sessions on tools and data sources used by the team. Provide job aids to team members and business users.
- Cultivate good working relationships with other business units, particularly Operations, Finance, Data Analytics, Technology, Risk and Compliance.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience with a solid background in data analysis, statistical analysis, or related field.
- Prior supervisory experience of data analysts or programmers is required
- Prior experience in financial services – either directly or by or providing client services.
- Compliance or audit experience is a plus (but not required).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Independent worker with solid project management skills.
- Strong analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Capable of teaching and learning from others to promote continuity of knowledge and personal development.
- Working knowledge of SQL, preferably Snowflake SQL, and SAS.
- Prior experience with data analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx, Knime, etc. and data visualization such as Power BI, Tableau are a plus.
$75,000 – $120,000 a year
