The Business Analyst III performs or leads the analysis, planning, requirements gathering and logical design of a software product by working with internal and external customers. You bring your capabilities in the Agile framework with a solid understanding of current products and technology to design and implement solutions to meet business needs. Reporting to the Business Analyst Manager you will help guide a team in successfully designing, negotiating, and implementing solutions to meet business needs.

This position may be in one of ProAg’s regional offices – Maple Grove, MN – Amarillo, TX – Lenexa, KS – West Des Moines, IA

In This Exciting Opportunity You Will:

  • Evaluates project complexity, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies
  • Manages Requirements Approval and Change
  • Traces requirements from business case to implemented solution
  • Assesses impacts of changes to requirements
  • Prioritizes requirements effectively based on factors including business value, cost to deliver, time constraints
  • Develops abstract models that describe a business domain
  • Assesses solution proposals and demonstrate which proposal will be most effective Reduced time or cost to implement a required change
  • Identification of related problems or issues across the product development platform
  • Participates in Business Analysis, project team, or individual meetings with management, preparing discussion topics and presenting information in a professional manner.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, BCIS or related fields or equivalent work related experience.
  • 6 years in Software application development, product management or business systems analysis
  • Minimum of two years of crop insurance or agricultural field experience preferred
  • Leadership, communication, and cooperation are critical
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with ProAg staff, customers, and the general public while maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Sound analytical skills, as well as strong decision-making and problem-solving aptitude

Colorado Pay Disclaimer: minimum of the range is $98,800 per year, subject to geographical adjustment contingent on location.
