Computer Systems Security Analyst 2

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Computer Systems Security Analyst 2in Newport News, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leverage expertise in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and analyze the development of a continuous monitoring program supporting DoD systems. Apply expertise in performing continuous assessments of all security controls for all information systems under the purview of the client organization. Applies expertise and work experience executing cyber risk assessments to perform duties assigned by the Security Control Assessor (SCA) for Navy Nuclear Enterprise systems. Recommends technical/policy changes to mitigate cyber risk. Will support Security Assessments (SA), new authorizations, and continuous monitoring requirements to obtain or maintain the Authorization to Operate (ATO) for systems. Will develop security documentation, analyze security controls and assist with the integration of new technology with information security standards. Work in a team setting to provide recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts. Conducting and assessing the results from automated vulnerability, compliance and application security scans.

General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.

Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned

Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision.

Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources

Liaison

Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
This position will have the opportunity for PART TIME telework. Onsite work will be required.
Required PPE: Ear Muffs, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots & Face Mask

EDUCATION:
Bachelors or Master’s degree is required.

HOURS:
5/40 work week, 6AM to 2:30PM
