TMC, a LinQuest company, is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our team at our Colorado Springs Facility/Hybrid. A DoD clearance is required.
The Configuration Manager/ Data Management must be an experience professional capable of designing and establishing Configuration Management (CM) documentation and procedures. Utilize expertise with CM processes within planning, design, implementation, testing, and release phases of Army and DoD programs of record and other systems for both hardware and software. Authorize the release of drawings and changes specified by Program or Engineering Management. Provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation. Involved in testing of systems while under government observation. Must interface directly with government Program Management Office (PMO). Conduct Quality Assurance on all CM developed deliverable products. Provide written and verbal reports to company and Government staff as needed. Conduct physical audits of equipment, which may involve travel, both CONUS and OCONUS. Experience with CM of DoD Acquisition programs is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Will establish and implement an integrated configuration and data management for the program in a complex manufacturing and development engineering environment, engaging in many ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined CM/DM processes for the program.
- Collaborate across all functions within the program to incorporate CM/DM concepts, techniques, and requirements.
- Communicate frequently and build positive rapport with the Government customer and senior leadership.
- Facilitate internal and external meetings to support the program and represent CM/DM in working groups or control boards.
- Identify and mitigate CM/DM risks.
- Provide solutions to complex problems that are consistent with the program’s digital engineering objectives.
- Identify opportunities for change and champion needed changes within the program.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring metrics and for intervention and problem solving within the team, management, and government customers.
- Participate in process improvements initiatives and implement more effective procedures.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse integrated team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience;
- Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive rapport with a Government Customer.
- Experience in understanding, creating, and managing sound processes.
- Strong experience with configuration management and data management.
- Experience leading a team.
- Experience facilitating meetings.
Preferred:
- Current Top Secret Clearance or higher, with Special Access Program (SAP).
- Knowledge or previous experience with Army Operations and DOD acquisition programs.
- Previous experience with DOD Configuration Management/Data Management processes.
Years of Experience:
- 10 years of experience with configuration management (CM) or data management (DM), or 8 years of experience with master’s degree.
- Must have an active/current TS/SCI Clearance.
Education:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.), or Master of Science (M.S.), degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering or STEM field from an ABET accredited program.
Compensation for Colorado:The salary for this position ranges from approximately $100,000 to $120,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
