MercyFirst is a not-for-profit human and social service agency that has been serving children and families in need since we were founded by the Sisters of Mercy/Hermanas de las Misericordia in 1894. Today our agency continues to address the emotional and physical needs of children and families in Brooklyn, Queens and across Long Island through innovative treatments and life-changing interventions. We provide community-based prevention and family foster care services, group homes in the community for struggling children and families within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and short-term residential services for unaccompanied migrant children. POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, add/remove/move computer accounts, update computer group membership, create folders and shares, create and maintain local groups, administer local servers, add/remove printers and software, create user groups, reset passwords and assist users in any other security administrator related issues in the Connections system. As the Connections Security Coordinator, you are expected to perform all duties required for the position and all additional responsibilities as assigned by management. In addition, On and offboard users in the UAC portal, perform pw resets, act as liaison between MF users and UAC help desk. Responsible for ACS account on and offboarding and CARA account on and offboarding
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with related experience OR an associate degree in a related field. Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- At least 3 years of working PC support experience. Must know the New York State’s Connections system well. Must be very detail oriented, be able to communicate well and have a background in PC support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To add/remove/move computer accounts both internally and externally.
- Update computer group membership
- Create folders and shares.
- Add/remove printers and software.
- Create user groups,
- Reset passwords.
- Assist users in any other security administrator related issues.
- Input end-user requests into tracking system
- Assist Help Desk as needed.

Salary Range:
$40,000 – &45,000/per year
$1500 Hiring Incentive after 500 hours worked
